Usher returned to his home state of Tennessee to help build a new house for Clarksville resident Trina Scott and her three daughters on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Scott lost her husband, Dave, a Clarksville police officer, in 2002 when he and his partner were tragically killed while on duty.

The R&B superstar, who’s a fan of the show, got emotional while helping make the new Scott family house a home. “I can’t say that I’m a crier every time I watch,” he tells Fancast. “But this time I cried. They got me on camera crying. I couldn’t help it.”

Usher’s episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” airs Sunday, December 6, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
