Alicia Keys Sees Bright Future for Tourmate Melanie Fiona
Melanie Fiona was thrilled when Alicia Keys invited her on the road. The rising star is a fan of the “Try Sleeping with a Broken Heart” singer, and as it turns out, Keys is also a fan of hers.
Alicia told staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud why she chose Melanie and Robin Thicke as the supporting acts on her “Freedom” tour. “It’s actually an extremely musical show and I love the progression of it,” she said. “I think people get a plate full of food that they can really enjoy.”
The 12-time Grammy winner sang the praises of the Grammy-nominated songstress, whose debut album The Bridge was released last year. “I really like her very much,” she shared. “She’s a great person. She has a beautiful voice and I think she has a really bright future ahead of her.”
So she was more than happy to help further the “It Kills Me” singer’s burgeoning career by offering her a coveted slot on her arena tour. “I’m glad to be able to have someone who’s just at the cusp of a great career and be able to give them that type of exposure and experience.”
