Lauryn Hill Rises Up at Rock the Bells
Lauryn Hill was the belle of the ball on the first of four dates of the Rock the Bells Festival 2010 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, Calif., on Saturday (Aug. 21). With curls peeking out beneath a red beret, gray tweed jacket, and flowing black dress, the former Fugees member was embraced by thousands of fans as though she never left.
“It’s good to see everybody again,” she told the audience before launching into material from her game-changing album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, along with Fugees staples.
Other performers on the hip-hop-centric bill included Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Slick Rick, Rakim, and Clipse.
