Video: Lady Gaga Crowned Twitter Queen

Justin Bieber may have the most-viewed video on YouTube, but Lady Gaga is the queen of Facebook and now Twitter with over 5.7 million followers. Pop’s Royal Highness accepted her new position in a viral video shot backstage at her “Monster Ball” tour stop in Tacoma, Wash. She thanked her Little Monsters while wearing a crown and waving a Twitter blue disco stick.

“Hello world. This is Lady Gaga, Queen of Twitter,” she said in her inaugural message since taking the Twitter throne from Britney Spears. “I wanted to thank all my beautiful Little Monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter Queen. May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting, may you never have carpal tunnel.”

As queen, Gaga vowed to never partake in online celebrity shenanigans and to tweet often.
