Keri Hilson was too cool for school, rocking curly blonde tresses, a black hat, and a houndstooth top at the kick-off of the Get Schooled National Challenge and Tour at Martin Luther King Jr. High School in New York City on Friday (Sept. 24). The event, aimed at improving high school and college graduation rates, also featured surprise appearances from Pharrell and Ludacris.
Keri recently wrote on Twitter that she is reteaming with her “Knock You Down” collaborator Kanye West on her sophomore album No Boys Allowed. “Back in the studio w/ @kanyewest!! He continues to inspire & motivate me as a creator of audible art ;) let the magic begin…,” she tweeted.
Mr. West returned the love and paid her the ultimate complement. “Keri Hilson first album is one of my favorite RnB joints of all time … this second album is super crazeee tooo truuust meeeeeeeee,” said Yeezy.
