Bruno Mars has a thing for “California Gurls.” The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter covered Katy Perry’s No. 1 hit for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, throwing his own spin on the tune with his Smeezingtons partner Philip Lawrence. “‘Cause Cali girls are lovely/ Cali girls are wonderful/ Cali girls they love me/ Cali girls they love them some Bruno,” sings the R&B crooner, who also performed a stripped-down version of “Grenade.”
