New Music: Jennifer Hudson - 'Angel'

Jennifer Hudson touches the sky on “Angel,” a cut off her sophomore album I Remember Me, flying into stores March 22. Written by Alicia Keys and co-produced with her hubbie Swizz Beatz, the uplifting tune is charged by marching snares, bouncy piano chords, and squiggly synthesizers, with J-Hud singing about taking care of her man and being his guardian angel.

“There’s no way that I’m ever goin’ back again/ Heaven’s in your arms, got me until the end/ Let me be your angel,” she wails on the powerful chorus. Spread your wings and soar with the heavenly songbird.
