Ne-Yo Welcomes Second Child
Ne-Yo has a new addition to his family. Less than a year after the birth of his daughter, the Grammy-winning singer is a father once again.
The 31-year-old star, born Shaffer Smith, and actress Monyetta Shaw welcomed their second child together on Sunday, October 9, his rep confirms to PEOPLE. The boy, named Mason Evan Smith, weighed in at 6 lbs., 10 oz.
Ne-Yo took to Twitter to announce his son’s arrival. “Sal-u twit fam. If you are truly fam you’ll help me welcome the heir to my throne, born OCT.9TH at 6 pounds, 10 ounces! Mason Evan Smith!” he tweeted.
The couple, who denied engagement reports, also has a daughter named Madilyn Grace, born last November.
Ne-Yo recently performed at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales and is working on his fifth album for release next year.
