Mary J. Blige Breathes 'Life' Into Oakland

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul stormed through the Bay Area to kick off her series of four intimate concerts last night at Oakland’s Fox Theater. Taking the stage in a skin-tight bodysuit, Mary J. Blige blessed her fans by delivering her seminal album My Life in its entirety and debuting new material off its sequel My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I), due November 21.
The intimate affair served as a warm-up for her Los Angeles show, which will stream live on VEVO this Thursday at 11 p.m. EST. In addition to Oakland and L.A., Mary will perform in New York City (11/23) and Atlanta (11/25).
