Mystikal Announces Album Title
Mystikal was energized for his return to television on “106 & Park.” The New Orleans rapper premiered the video for his single “Original” featuring Lil Wayne and Birdman and shared his excitement about being a member of the YMCMB family. “It’s awesome. It’s bananas,” he said.
Before he started his six-year prison sentence, Birdman reached out to him about a deal. “It’s been a long time in the making,” he explained. “Me and Baby been having conversations even during the No Limit days.”
He also announced that his Cash Money debut will be titled Original. “I know ya’ll been waiting on that thing and it’s gonna be titled Original,” said Mystikal, who has recorded with Busta Rhymes and Rick Ross. “Those six years I was gone, I never cried. I pouted and fussed, but during the making of this video [‘Original’], I was fighting back tears like Diana Ross or somebody.”
A humbled Mystikal, who recently welcomed a son, shared what he learned from his past experiences. “Watch your surroundings and pay attention to them. Bees do not hang with flies.”
