A$AP Rocky Announces First Single Off 'Long.Live.A$AP'
A$AP Rocky is hoping to strike gold with his first single. The Harlem rapper has announced the title and release date for the lead offering from his upcoming debut Long.Live.A$AP.
“Goldie,” produced by Hit-Boy (“Ni**as in Paris”), will premiere on Monday, April 16. “‘GOLDIE’ PRODUCED BY HIT-BOY THE FIRST SINGLE OFF LONGLIVEA$AP WILL BE RELEASED THIS MONDAY GET READY FOR THAT JIGGY SHIT #ASVP,” tweeted Rocky, who recently shot a video with Swizz Beatz for “Street Knock.”
“I ain’t gon front I got A$AP on some shit y’all ain’t heard him on before with this single,” said Hit-Boy. “It’s some real hip-hop shit wit bounce tho.”
The 23-year-old MC was recently in the studio with Kanye West and recorded a collaboration with Lana Del Rey called “Ridin’.” The KickDrums production was originally set to appear on the Brooklyn duo’s mixtape Follow the Leaders, but A$AP wanted to save it for his album.
Long.Live.A$AP is due in July on Polo Grounds Music/RCA Records, while the A$AP Mob mixtape featuring members of his crew is scheduled to drop in May.
