Live From the Underground

Building off the buzz of his mixtape and EP 4eva Na Day, Big K.R.I.T. unveils the illustrated cover of his debut album Live From the Underground, due June 5. The Def Jam project features the G-funk-flavored single “I Got This,” which the Mississippi MC produced himself.

“It’s a representation of how I feel about underground vs. mainstream music,” explained K.R.I.T. of the artwork. “At times I feel like mainstream music operates on a totally different planet. This illustrates how I’ve crash landed into the mainstream to bring the sounds from the underground back to the forefront.”

K.R.I.T. is currently playing shows across the country on J. Cole’s “Campus Consciousness” tour. Watch the first episode of his “Road Less Traveled” web series below.
