BET celebrated Father’s Day with some of hip-hop’s most famous dads including Swizz Beatz, Ice-T, and Nas. The Don stopped by “106 & Park” to speak about making music for his daughter Destiny, his involvement in the documentary Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap, and his upcoming album Life Is Good, due July 17.

Nas also explained the thinking behind the album’s cover art, which features Kelis’ green wedding dress. “This right here shows the ending of one chapter, but what’s the next chapter gonna be?” asked Nas. “Life is good regardless. You gotta keep your head up and keep it moving.”

He didn’t leave without treating the livest audience to a performance of “Daughters.”
