Now that A$AP Rocky’s debut Long.Live.A$AP is about to drop, the stage is set for another member of A$AP Mob. A$AP Ferg has inked a solo deal with Polo Grounds Music/RCA Records.

The Harlem MC’s debut single “Work” is currently being serviced to radio, and will be available for purchase on iTunes on January 22. Produced by Chinza & Fly, the song originally appeared on A$AP Mob’s self-released mixtape, Lord$ Never Worry, while the video has received over 1.3 million views on YouTube.

Ferg is the latest artist to emerge from A$AP Worldwide, A$AP Rocky and A$AP Yams’ joint venture.

“I’m just proud right now because this is everything we wished and hoped for,” said Rocky on Ferg’s signing. “A$AP Ferg worked hard for this and I put all my faith and backing into him. I feel like ‘Work’ is our generation’s ‘Sippin On Some Syrup’ [Three 6 Mafia feat. UGK] or ‘Chickenhead’ [Project Pat feat. La Chat & Three 6 Mafia]; it has that feeling.”

Ferg can also be heard on “Ghetto Symphony,” a track on the deluxe edition of Long.Live.A$AP, and is the face of his own Trap Lord clothing line.
