After teasing his fans on Twitter, Bow Wow landed an interview with his idol 50 Cent on Thursday’s “106 & Park.” During a visit to promote his book Formula 50, the G-Unit mogul discussed the longevity of “In Da Club,” his fitness regimen, and his hit single “My Life” with Adam Levine and Eminem.

“It was easier to get Adam on the record than Em,” said 50, who flew to Detroit to get it done. The two have also collaborated on another record called “Champions” for his upcoming album Street King Immortal.

He’s not following any trends on the follow-up to 2010’s Before I Self Destruct. “I’m hoping that it impacts in this period the way Get Rich or Die Tryin’ impacted in 2003,” said 50. “I stayed away from the fads and things that were going on in music around me.”

And can G-Unit fans expect a reunion in the near future? “There’s a possibility you’ll see us work together at some point,” said Curtis, who acknowledged that the members have grown apart over the years. “You just accept it. Trying to hold it together is just going to drive you crazy at some point.”

During his book promo tour, 50 also stopped by Katie Couric’s daytime talk show. Watch both appearances below.
