Tamar Braxton Visits ‘106 & Park'
With her Tamartians in the audience, Tamar Braxton stopped by “106 & Park” to premiere her video for “Love and War.” The R&B songstress watched the clip for the first time and played a game of “Who Is She?”
She revealed that she wanted the club banger “Hot Sugar” to be her first single, but her husband Vince thought otherwise. “I was so devastated and disappointed. I didn’t speak to Vince for like a whole five, six hours. That’s a lot for me,” she laughed.
But she’s glad that she listened to him. “‘Love and War’ came out and it went No. 1 on both [iTunes] charts in 12 hours and I was like, ‘Thanks, Vincent.'”
While her vocals are featured on her friend Lady Gaga’s hit “Born This Way,” don’t expect a true collaboration anytime soon. “We’re two different kinds of artists and I really respect Gaga and I appreciate her, but we’re gonna keep that lane separate,” said Tamar, who is the new host of Centric’s “Culturelist.”
