Beyoncé Rehearses for Super Bowl Halftime Show
While the Ravens prepare to take on the 49ers at Super Bowl XLVII, Beyoncé is also getting ready for her big day on the field. Following her much-talked-about performance of the National Anthem at President Obama’s inauguration, pop’s MVP jetted to New Orleans to start rehearsals for her halftime show. Bey posted photos of what appear to be rehearsals for her performance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3.
Us Weekly reports that she will kick off her set with her smash “Crazy in Love” (Will we see a Jay-Z cameo?). Midway through, she’ll be joined by her fellow Destiny’s Child divas Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a medley of their biggest hits including “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Survivor,” and their new track “Nuclear.”
And while there is still debate whether Bey sang live at the inauguration, those close to the superstar are speaking up. “She did sing,” a source tells Us. “There was a [pre-recorded] track, but Bey sang 100 percent.”
Michelle Williams also defended her bandmate’s honor. “I love her so much. I know what she possesses,” she told “Good Morning America.” “That was such a big moment for her and I just wish people would just let it go and just continue to look for what she’s going to be bringing for ya’ll in the future.”
One thing’s for sure… All eyes will be on Bey come Super Bowl Sunday.
