Janet Jackson

On the eve of New York Fashion Week, Janet Jackson stepped out to the amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street. The pop icon, along with Heidi Klum and Kenneth Cole, was honored for her contributions to the fight against AIDS. She skipped the red carpet and headed straight inside to receive her award, looking stunning in a black dress.

Other guests included John Legend and his fiancée Chrissy Teigen, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Harry Belafonte. The black-tie gala closed out with a performance from CeeLo Green.

Janet, who is an ambassador for amfAR, also stars in a PSA for World AIDS Day, encouraging people to get tested and treated for HIV. “Let’s end AIDS together,” she says.
