J. Cole

After a slight delay, J. Cole has locked in a new release date for his sophomore album Born Sinner.

The Roc Nation rapper took to Twitter to make the official announcement. “Born Sinner June 25th,” he tweeted.

“said i would never announce on twitter, but damn, since i fucked up that first one (but what a moment!)”

The project was originally due January 28, but was pushed back because he needed more time to record. A video for the first single “Power Trip” featuring Miguel will premiere on Tuesday, April 9.

Born Sinner marks the follow-up to Cole’s 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story, which opened at No. 1, selling 218,000 copies in its first week.
