Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne shows his stars and stripes in the video for “God Bless Amerika,” a cut off his album I Am Not a Human Being II. The Eif Rivera-directed clip was shot in his hometown of New Orleans last month. Weezy sports a “Jesus Saves, I Spend” tank top and Trukfit hat as he performs in front of an American flag on the streets of Hollygrove.

The video sparked controversy after he was accused of trampling the flag, but Wayne denied any wrongdoing.

“It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America,” said Weezy on Facebook. “In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground.”

Watch a 30-second sneak peek before the full video premieres tomorrow.
