Mateo Readies 'We've Met Before' EP
Mateo has been on his grind, releasing his Suite 823 mixtape, covering popular songs, and touring with Keyshia Cole. Now the Cincinnati crooner is ready to share the next chapter in his musical journey with the release of his EP We’ve Met Before.
The project is set for digital release on August 13 featuring the single “How Good Is Your Love.”
On the EP, he shares his emotions through a series of love songs produced by Kerry “Krucial” Brothers and Zeke MacUmber. The material is described as a “warm blend of R&B/alternative music, presented with a smooth subtle tone and enhanced by displays of vocal forte.”
“I’m in a better place than I have ever been musically,” said Mateo. “With this EP, I want to show fans how I’ve evolved. They may have met me before, but I have so much more to give them.”
Mateo will tour this fall, while he puts the finishing touches on his full-length debut, due in 2014 on Interscope Records.
