Lady Gaga

YouTube’s biggest stars stepped out from behind the computer and onto the stage at the first-ever YouTube Music Awards at Pier 36 in New York on Sunday. Hosted by Jason Schwartzman and Reggie Watts, the event was live streamed throughout the world and featured performances from Eminem, M.I.A., Tyler, the Creator, Arcade Fire, and Lady Gaga.

Under the helm of Spike Jonze and Chris Milk, Gaga traded spectacle for a stripped-down set. Dressed in a flannel shirt and snapback, she sat barefoot at a piano and belted out her ARTPOP ballad “Dope” as tears rolled down her face.
