Kanye West Slams Grammys for Lack of Nominations

Kanye West was nominated for two Grammys, but was noticeably absent from the major categories, and he’s not taking it lightly. The G.O.O.D. Music mastermind aired out his grievances while on stage.

During his “Yeezus Tour” stop in Phoenix, Arizona, Kanye put the Grammys on blast. “Yeezus is the top one or two album on every single list, but only gets two nominations from the Grammys,” he told the audience (via E! Online). “What are they trying to say?”

Yeezus was named Album of the Year by critics including Entertainment Weekly and TIME.

‘Ye, who has won 21 Grammys throughout his career, is nominated for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Song for “New Slaves,” but was shut out of the big categories including Album of the Year.

Over the weekend, he also made headlines for kicking out a heckler at his show in San Antonio, Texas. While wearing one of his Maison Martin Margiela masks, a woman yelled at him to “take it off.”

He had security escort her out of the venue and issued a stern warning. “Do I look like a motherf**king comedian?” he said. “Don’t f**king heckle me. I’m Kanye motherf**king West.”
