OutKast

After kicking off their 20th anniversary tour at Coachella, OutKast returned to their home state of Georgia to close out the 2014 CounterPoint Music & Arts Festival on Sunday.

André 3000 and Big Boi headlined the three-day event at Kingston Downs in Rome, the second stop on their 40-plus festival trek, which also includes the BET Experience in L.A. and Drake’s OVO Fest in Toronto.

Despite the stormy weather, the hip-hop duo brought their infectious energy to the stage, treating the wet hometown crowd to their hits including “B.O.B.,” “Ms. Jackson,” “So Fresh, So Clean,” and “Rosa Parks.”

“It’s good to be back in the dirty, dirty,” said Big Boi. “ATL, you know what it is. We love y’all. … 20 years and we still here.”

Janelle Monáe, who was also on the bill, shook it like a Polaroid picture while André 3000 performed “Hey Ya!”
