...and then you shoot your cousin

A week before its release, The Roots have made their entire 11th album available to stream via Pitchfork Advance. Questlove, Black Thought, and the rest of the legendary crew assemble 11 tracks, with appearances from Raheem DeVaughn, Dice Raw, and Patty Crash.

“It’s another concept album in the spirit of Undun, but it’s not just about just one kind of character, we create quite a few different characters in this record,” Black Thought told XXL. “It’s satire, but in that satire it’s an analysis of some of the stereotypes perpetuated in not only the hip-hop community, but in the community.”

The Roots will present their album live during two performances at The Public Theater in NYC tonight and tomorrow. They will also perform with some special guests at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on June 1.
