Paula Patton and Robin Thicke

Robin Thicke is taking to national TV to get back his wife. The “Blurred Lines” crooner has penned a song about Paula Patton and plans to debut it live at this weekend’s Billboard Music Awards.

TMZ has obtained a copy of the lyrics to the song entitled “Get Her Back,” which details Thicke’s regretful separation from his wife.

“I should’ve kissed you longer / I should’ve held you stronger / And I’ll wait for forever for you,” he sings.

Other lyrics include: “All I wanna do is make it right” and “I gotta get her, go get her back / I gotta treat her right / I gotta cherish her for life.”

He plans to perform the song at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday. The show, which also features performances from Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, and John Legend, will air live on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.

Thicke has been trying for months to win back his wife, even dedicating “Lost Without U” to her at his recent shows.

The high school sweethearts announced their split in February after nearly nine years of marriage.
