World Cup excitement is in the air. Janelle Monáe celebrated the kickoff to the Brazil games with a performance on “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

Dressed in a black-and-white striped blazer, the Electric Lady ripped the stage with her fresh take on David Bowie’s 1977 classic “Heroes,” which appears on the Pepsi Beats of the Beautiful Game album.

“This song is dedicated to all the young heroes in the world,” she said.

Janelle will play Bonnaroo this weekend, the Hollywood Bowl on June 22, and the ESSENCE Festival next month.
