Remission

Lupe Fiasco enlists fellow Chicagoans Jennifer Hudson and Common for “Remission,” the remix to his powerful anthem “Mission,” which was created to empower those facing cancer, celebrate survivors, and remember those lost to cancer-related illnesses.

“If I had a dollar for every time they counted me out / And my back was up against the wall / I could’ve died, but I came out fighting,” sings JHUD on the resilient hook.

The trio will perform the inspiring song for the first time during the “Stand Up To Cancer” telecast on Friday, September 5, at 8 p.m. It will be available at digital retailers following the performance, with all proceeds benefitting Stand Up To Cancer.
