New Music: Flying Lotus f/ Kendrick Lamar - 'Never Catch Me'

While he readies his sophomore album, Kendrick Lamar has been showing his versatility with features for Jasmine V and SZA. For his latest guest spot, TDE’s golden child joins forces with L.A. producer Flying Lotus on “Never Catch Me.” K-Dot delivers an out-of-body verse over the experimental production, which has been years in the making.
“He came through the crib and recorded it and it was great,” FlyLo told Rolling Stone. “The funny part is, though, that he wanted to keep that shit for his album. When I first sent him the track, he was trying to convince me to give it to him. Like, ‘Nah, man, I need that!'”
Look for their jazzy collaboration on Flying Lotus’ fifth album You’re Dead!, due October 7.
