New Music: Childish Gambino - 'Sober'

Childish Gambino trades his rhymes for some sweet crooning on “Sober,” an unmixed track which he released over the weekend.

“Now that it’s over, I’ll never be sober / I couldn’t believe, now I’m so high,” sings the rapper-actor over the ’80s-inspired synths and electric guitar.

The smooth song is set to appear on his upcoming EP STN MTN / KAUAI, named after Gambino’s Stone Mountain, Ga. hometown and the Hawaiian island. Jaden Smith will be involved with the project, taking on the role of “The Boy.”

Gambino can also be heard on “Break Your Heart Right Back” off Ariana Grande’s album My Everything.
