The Wow

Los Angeles-based hip-hop duo The Wow, consisting of Balthazar Getty and KO THE LEGEND, aim for LGNDRY status with their PurpleHaus Music debut.

Produced entirely by Getty, the 18-track LP combines classic hip-hop elements with futuristic sounds, and features appearances from Prodigy, Fat Lip, and Method Man, who is featured on the first single, “Masterpiece.”

“It’s a relief to have your content out in the ether,” said KO, who has been working with Getty for over a year. “We make music for the people and after being the Doula for the birth of this album, I’m happy to say I’m proud of what we have created.”

The video for the title track was filmed by Adam Roberts and co-directed by Getty and Roberts. Shot in Getty’s “Miller Dr.” studio in the Hollywood Hills, the dark and eery clip takes viewers inside a late-night recording session with the duo, and features collage-covered walls of 1960s images, priceless artwork, and antique chandeliers hanging from the painted ceilings.

LGNDRY is now available on iTunes. You can stream the album below and watch the video for “LGNDRY” exclusively on Rap-Up.
