Kendrick Lamar Performs on 'SNL'

All hail King Kendrick. The Compton rapper made an epic return to “SNL” this weekend and proved why he’s one of hip-hop’s best with an exhilarating performance of his single “i.”
With his hair half braided, black contacts in his eyes, and sweat dripping down his face, Kendrick tore through the Isley Brothers-sampled song, dedicating it to his homies in the pen. He even recreated some of his famous dance moves from the music video.
For his second performance of the night, he brought out his TDE labelmate Jay Rock to perform “Pay for It.” They traded chilling verses against harsh white lights, while Canadian singer Chantal Kreviazuk played piano and sang the hook.
He also appeared in a funny skit for a celebrity duets record called Young Tarts & Old Farts, which paired old timers with new artists. The Kendrick rapped alongside a fake Barry Manilow, while other pairings included Lionel Richie and Ariana Grande, Diana Ross and Macklemore, James Taylor and 2 Chainz, and Elton John and Blue Ivy.
Get out your seat in praise of K-Dot.
