The Game Announces 'The Documentary' 10th Anniversary Concert

  /  01.03.2015

Ten years ago this month, The Game released his breakout debut The Documentary. In honor of the anniversary, the Compton rapper will throw a concert in Los Angeles.

The show, which will feature special guests, is set to take place on January 18 at the Belasco Theater in downtown L.A. Tickets are on sale now.

Game made the announcement on Instagram. “I will be having a 10 Year Anniversary concert Sunday January 18th!!! Performing The Documentary in its entirety w/ Special guests and surprises. You do not want to miss this shit !!!” he said.

He previously planned to release The Documentary 2, a sequel to his 2005 album, on that same day. However, it appears that the album has been postponed.

In an interview with Power 106’s J Cruz and Justin Credible last summer, he revealed that he was “going back to the Just Blazes, Scott Storches, Dr. Dres,” who worked on the original album.

The Documentary went gold in its first week and spawned the 50 Cent-assisted hits “Hate It or Love It” and “How We Do.”
