Rihanna and Kanye West Touch Down at DirecTV Super Saturday Night
On the eve of Super Bowl XLIX, Rihanna headlined the biggest party of the weekend, DirecTV Super Saturday Night. Co-hosted by Mark Cuban and Michael Strahan, the invitation-only event was held inside DirecTV Super Fan Stadium at the Pendergast Family Farm in Glendale, Ariz.
Donning a black pantsuit and black silk camisole, the 26-year-old superstar powered through her many hits including “Umbrella,” “Rude Boy,” “We Found Love,” and “Diamonds” before a star-studded crowd including Kim Kardashian West, 2 Chainz, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, and “Breaking Bad’s” Aaron Paul.
Halfway through Rihanna’s hour-long performance, Kanye West surprised with a 10-minute set. He joined RiRi for their collaborations “All of the Lights” and “Run This Town,” but their new single “FourFiveSeconds” was missing (Grammys, maybe?). Yeezus went on to perform a medley including “Flashing Lights,” “Clique,” “Jesus Walks,” and his latest single “Only One.”
Rae Sremmurd also popped up during Rihanna’s set to perform their hits “No Type” and “No Flex Zone.” It is rumored that the hip-hop duo has collaborated with Rihanna on her upcoming album.
“I heart Rae Sremmurd!!!! #SREMMlife,” said RiRi. “These guys got the illest energy on stage (and the best attitudes period)! thank you @raesremmurd for joining us lastnight!”
After the concert, Kanye and Kim grabbed a bite to eat at Waffle House with fellow couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.
