New Music: Tiara Thomas - 'How It Is'

Tiara Thomas sails into the weekend with her new acoustic joint “How It Is” off her upcoming 5-track project Up in Smoke. The “Bad” singer-songwriter, who parted ways with Rico Love’s Division1, strips things down and puts her raw vocals and guitar-playing skills on display.

“‘How It Is’ was a conversation with myself in my head,” Tiara told MTV News. “Talking about things that people go through in everyday life. Just dealing with people. Dealing with how things are.”

Up in Smoke serves as a precursor to her debut album, due later this year. “Up in Smoke is a collection of music that shows different aspects of me,” she explained. “The songs represent the different things that I feel and a lot of people feel. Sometimes I feel sad and lonely, sometimes I feel sexy and open…sometimes I’m high.”

The multi-talented star also shows off her skills in the kitchen in her new “Baking with Tiara” series. In the hilarious first episode, she cooks up a pizza…while smoking a blunt.
