Kendrick Lamar Freestyles Over Biggie Beat

  /  03.09.2015

Today marks the 18th anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.’s death. In honor of the late legend, Kendrick Lamar spit a freestyle over Biggie’s “The What” during his appearance on Big Boy’s new L.A. radio show on 92.3 FM (via HHNM and REVOLT).

“I’m the only ni**a next to Snoop that can push the button / Had the coast on standby”

Just last week, Kendrick announced a March 23 release date for his sophomore album. It’s unclear if the project is actually called [Untitled] or if he’s decided to withhold the real title.

The Biggie tributes continue to pour in. Other celebs including Diddy, Snoop Dogg, and Mariah Carey took to social media to remember the hip-hop icon.
