Sam Smith and John Legend Perform 'Lay Me Down' for Red Nose Day

  /  03.14.2015

John Legend and Sam Smith touched down in London town to perform their duet “Lay Me Down” live for the first time during BBC One’s “Comic Relief – Face the Funny” telethon for Red Nose Day.

The Jimmy Napes and Steve Fitzmaurice-produced ballad, which appears on Smith’s album In the Lonely hour, has been re-recorded as the official Red Nose Day 2015 single.

The song is available on iTunes, with sales benefitting Comic Relief, which works to change the lives of poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged people across the U.K. and Africa.

“Thank you to everyone who tuned into @RedNoseDay last night, especially to everyone supporting the official single,” said Smith.

Watch the Grammy-winning crooners lend their voices to a good cause.
