Video: DΔWN - 'Calypso'

Dawn Richard goes digital in the futuristic video for “Calypso,” the fifth visual off her critically-acclaimed album Blackheart. In the 3D clip, directed by digital GIF artist Kytten Janae, the former Danity Kane singer reintroduces herself as just DΔWN.

“I’m just letting go of my last name. It’s time,” said Dawn. “Calypso was a nymph in Greek mythology, who lived on the island of Ogygia, where she detained Odysseus for several years. We wanted to capture her essence in the video virtually.”
