Janet Jackson Announces New Music, World Tour

Janet Jackson has been out of the spotlight for years, but she’s ready to make a comeback. The pop icon quietly announced her return in a video that was posted on Vimeo Friday evening. In the 50-second clip, which was shot in a recording studio, she teased new music and a world tour for this year.

“I promised you’d hear it from my lips, and now you will,” says Janet. “This year, new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening. Let’s keep the conversation going.”

She used the hashtag #ConversationsInACafe, which could be the title of her upcoming single or album.

Janet hasn’t released an album since 2008’s Discipline. In 2012, she secretly wed Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana in a private ceremony.
