Kid Ink, Melanie Fiona Perform on 'SKEE TV'

  /  05.16.2015

In between tour dates, Kid Ink returned to the West side for a performance on Fuse’s “SKEE TV” on Friday. Decked out in a red Nike Air jersey and gray hoodie, the L.A. rapper hit the stage to perform his latest single “Be Real” off his album Full Speed.

He also discussed being underrated, the West Coast sound, and his Jordan collection.

Melanie Fiona also wowed the crowd with an acoustic version of her new single “Bite the Bullet,” and sat down with DJ Skee to discuss her return to music.

“I really just made the decision that I needed to become human again,” she said of her hiatus. “But I needed some experience, I needed some inspiration, and I needed to take care of my health and make sure that I was great—sound body, mind—and get some new stories to make a new album.”

Her third album Awake features production from Dre of Dre & Vidal, Jerry Wonda, and Jack Splash. “We just have great chemistry and it’s right,” she said of her collaborators. “The freedom to experiment and decide… I’m really pleased with the selection that I have.”
