Chinx Posthumous Album Set for August Release

  /  06.02.2015

Chinx was killed in a drive-by shooting last month, but his music lives on. eOne Music and Four Kings Management will release the Queens rapper’s nearly-completed debut album, Welcome to J.F.K., on August 14. The first single, “On Your Body” featuring Meet Sims, debuts today.

The hip-hop community paid homage to the 31-year-old, who was a member of French Montana’s Coke Boys. Meek Mill released the Travi$ Scott-assisted tribute “Miss My Dawgs,” while Papoose recorded his own tribute called “Street Dreams.”

“Watching and helping Chinx develop as an artist over the last few years has been an amazing experience,” said his manager Doug “Biggs” Ellison. “He had finally come into his own, musically. This new body of work, Welcome to J.F.K., is a 1 of 1 creation. We took the raw emotions of an artist on the rise, and created a lane that will absolutely establish Chinx as a pioneer in the game.”

At the time of his death, Chinx was working on his debut album, which was initially slated for a late 2015 release. The project is produced by Lee on the Beats and B Korn of the Amazinz.
