DJ Mustard Hits the Studio with Britney Spears
DJ Mustard has produced some of hip-hop’s biggest hits, and now he’s ready to conquer pop. The super-producer was recently in the studio with Britney Spears.
While in the U.K. for Wireless Festival, he told ThisIsMax that he has produced a song for the pop queen.
“I’ve been in the studio with Britney Spears,” revealed Mustard. “We got something harder than all that. This is a movie. It’s crazy. I can’t really go too much on it but like it’s incredible.”

Mustard is best known for his work with rappers including YG, Tyga, and Big Sean, but he wanted to step outside the box. “I’m a fan of all the greats and she’s one of them,” he said. “I don’t want to be in a box, I don’t want to be just a ratchet producer, I want to be everything.”
Spears has been working on her ninth album, but there’s no timeline for the song’s release. “Hopefully soon,” added Mustard.
In between his sessions with Spears, the L.A. hitmaker has been in the studio with YG, Tinashe, and Ty Dolla $ign.
