Shooting at OVO Fest After-Party Leaves Two Dead

  /  08.04.2015

Drake’s OVO Fest took a tragic turn.

According to TMZ, two people were killed and three others were wounded after someone began shooting at Muzik nightclub in Toronto, where Drake was hosting an official after-party.

The incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday (Aug. 4) following an argument inside the bar area (via CTV News). The fight eventually spilled onto the streets. One person was shot dead inside the club and more gunshots were fired outside.

The victims are a male and a female in their 20s and 30s—one was pronounced dead at the scene while the second victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. Three others were hospitalized. It’s unclear if Drake was in the club when the shooting occurred.

Supt. Frank Bergen described it as a “well-run event with lots of police officers around the area.”

However, this is not the first time this has happened at the club. A similar incident occurred in front of Muzik last year when a 28-year-old man was shot.
