New Music: Uncle Murda feat. Future - 'Right Now'

  /  08.27.2015

New York legend Uncle Murda may be known more for his work in the ’90s and early ’00s, but here’s far from a throwback. His new collaboration with Future called “Right Now” demonstrates that he’s still got his finger on the pulse of the streets.

The minor-key beat, produced by Metro Boomin, knows when to get out of the way and let the rappers do their thing. Future gives us the emotion-drenched trap prophecies we’ve come to expect from him over the last year, with an East Coast twist. “In Brooklyn, they don’t trust you they gon’ shoot you,” he raps.

Murda ad libs “flicka da wrist” and shouts out GS9, with whom he’s collaborated: “Free Rowdy bitch, free Bobby, bitch!” He really is the coolest Uncle in the game.
