Leona Lewis Covers Kanye West

  /  09.01.2015

Leona Lewis has revealed a new side of her persona to the world—she’s a Kanye West fan.

“I was quite moved by @kanyewest speech at the VMA’s. In light of this, I would like to share this with you,” tweeted the “Bleeding Love” singer, who posted a cover of Kanye’s “Only One.”

She sounds terrific, capably reaching high notes and powering through the song’s melodies with her angelic voice.

It’s a moving tribute to West’s glorious 12-minute speech, which he urged us to “Listen to the kids” and announced a presidential run in 2020.

Leona will release I Am, her fifth studio album and first for Def Jam, on Sept. 11.
