August Alsina Announces New Album 'This Thing Called Life'
August Alsina is getting closer and closer to releasing his sophomore album.
The New Orleans crooner took to Instagram to announce the title—This Thing Called Life. He played the album for DJ Khaled, who gave him some positive feedback.

“The structure’s unbelievable, man. Not lying to you, it’s on my mama,” Khaled told August. “I like the way you sequenced the album. I love the music. The only time I’ve ever heard albums like that was Dr. Dre’s Chronic or Nas’ Illmatic.”
August has already released two singles from the follow-up to 2014’s Testimony including “Hip-Hop” and “Why I Do It” featuring Lil Wayne.
This Thing Called Life is due this fall.
