Video: DeJ Loaf feat. Big Sean - 'Back Up'

DeJ Loaf spent her summer on tour with Nicki Minaj, and now she rolls into fall with Big Sean in the video for “Back Up.” The Detroit rappers return to their hometown and host a party at Royal Skate Land roller-skating rink, one of DeJ’s favorite local spots from her childhood.

In the Alex Nazari-directed clip, dancers perform the Detroit Jit, a dance known throughout the city. Some of the dancers are fans who DeJ sourced from social media, including a father and daughter duo whose rendition of the Jit caught DeJ’s eye on Instagram. She has also created a dance competition website for fans to upload videos of themselves doing the Jit.

“Back Up” is lifted from DeJ’s EP #AndSeeThatsTheThing, which also features Future.
