New Music: Ciara - 'Paint It, Black'
Ciara puts her spin on the Rolling Stones classic “Paint It, Black” for the upcoming action film The Last Witch Hunter starring Vin Diesel. The song is given a stormy, psychedelic makeover—Ciara’s growling rendition sounds just right for a movie about witchcraft.
“I had never thought to cover this song,” she told Rolling Stone. “It was never on my radar to cover it, but when the opportunity came along, I was very thrilled, because I love what the producer Adrianne Gonzales did.”
She went on to explain that rock instrumentation is a sound she’s “always wanted to play with, and it just didn’t get any better than being able to cover a Rolling Stones song.”
Ciara will hit the road again in support of her latest album Jackie, starting next month.
