50 Cent Announces 'The Kanan Tape'

50 Cent is back in mixtape mode. The hip-hop mogul has announced plans for an eight-track project called The Kanan Tape.

He is set to drop something as soon as this week. “NEW MUSIC this week,Off The KANAN tape,” posted 50 on Instagram, along with a photo of him counting his money, which he used to spell out the word “Broke,” a reference to his bankruptcy filing.

The mixtape is named after his character Kanan on the hit Starz drama series “Power.”

According to Variety, 50 has signed a two-year exclusive deal with Starz to develop new projects for the network through his G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. arm and continue as executive producer on “Power.”

50 is also working on his long-awaited album Street King Immortal.
