New Music: Jussie Smollett and Alicia Keys - 'Powerful'

The Empire soundtrack hits stores today featuring songs from the first half of Season 2. It includes contributions from cast members Jussie Smollett (Jamal Lyon), Yazz (Hakeem Lyon), and Terrence Howard (Lucious Lyon), plus guest stars Pitbull, Bre-Z, and V. Bozeman, with production from Timbaland, Ne-Yo, J.R. Rotem, and Swizz Beatz.
Alicia Keys joins Jussie on “Powerful,” an uplifting duet about creating change and uniting people of all races.
“I matter, you matter, we matter all,” they sing.
Keys will guest star as a pop singer named Skye Summers on the Nov. 25 episode of Fox’s hit show.
